South central Pennsylvania's very own Colt Wilbur Band is kicking off 2023 in the best way they know how; a new record. Pretty Big Deal being the follow up record to the 2015 release Heart of Stone, will be comprised of 15 brand new songs spanning the corners of traditional country, rock n’ roll, and everything in between.
“We were closing out 2021 and looking down the barrel of the upcoming year ahead and what we wanted to do. I had just gotten sober in August and was changing a lot of things within my life and looking to keep myself busy and productive. ‘Let’s write another record’ came into the conversation with Ronnie one late night in Big Riff Studio of Mechanicsburg. We started writing that first Monday of 2022 and didn’t let up until we had a burnt blank CD in hand with the title cut written across it in permanent marker. I slapped Ronnie on the shoulder, ‘We did it buddy.’ as we drove around the backroads of Cumberland county grinning ear to ear listening to the culmination of our work. I’m excited for folks to hear this, it has a lot of songs we’re very proud of. Hope folks like it just as much as we did writing and recording it.” -Colt
